SPARTAN GIRLS
Varsity Boys - February 29-March 1 -Kingwood
The Seven Lakes Varsity boys golf team finished atop the leader board at the Kingwood Invitational this past weekend. The tournament was played on the Marsh course of the Kingwood Country Club. Notable teams that played in the tournament were Cinco Ranch, Clements, Montgomery, Clear Creek, The Woodlands, and Austin High. Taking 5 out of 6 scores each day the team shot 388 on Friday and 391 on Saturday for a two day total of 779l. Trey Sullivan was second in overall scoring shooting 79, and a 1 under 71. Brian Swanson tied for 3rd shooting 73, 78, Albert Miner shot 78, 77, Juan Espiga shot 79, 83, Zach Smalls shot 80, 84, and Hank Miner shot 85, 82. The Spartans trailed the Woodlands by 2 strokes after Friday's round. They came up strong Saturday winning by 11 strokes over the Woodlands (790). Cinco Ranch and Clements tied for 3rd shooting 795 for a two day total. Varsity Boys - February 1 - 2, 2008 - Greatwood Golf Club
The Seven Lakes Varsity Boys Golf Team finish just 3 strokes behind Clear Creek Saturday at Greatwood Golf Club. The team shot 304, 310. Behind the scoring of Trey Sullivan who shot 72, 74, Brian Swanson who shot 74, 79, and Zach Smalls who shot 81, 77, Albert Miner who shot 77, 86, Hank Miner 87,79, Ryan Hadash who shot 83, 82 the team came down to the last hole before taking this second place finish. Trey took 3rd place overall in scoring.		 Varsity Girls - February 1st - 2nd, 2008 - Sienna Plantation Golf Club
The Spartan Varsity Golf Girls golf team took a 6th place finish at Sienna Plantation golf club Saturday.  The girls shot their lowest round in team history on Friday with a 356.  Congratulations to Janell Lysack 87, 86,  Michelle Hartmann 91, 96,  Jourdan Holder 90, 95,  Morgan Mitchell 88, 96,   and Taylor Burchard 99, 93.

Varsity Boys - October 26 - 27, 2007 - Huntsville Hornets Invitational
The Spartan Varsity Boys golf team took 5th place at the Huntsville Hornets Invitational October 26th and 27th. The Spartans were led by Trey Sullivan who shot 74, 77. The team scored 318 each day. Brian Swanson shot 76, 82, Albert Miner shot 84, 78, Tyler Thompson shot 84, 82, and Zach Smalls shot 87, 81. The Spartans next tournament is November 30 and December 1 in Lufkin at Crown Colony Golf Club.

 Varsity Girls - January 21st - 22nd, 2008 - Greatwood Golf Club
The Lady Spartan Golf Team took 2nd place over all in the Fort Bend Austin Varsity Girls Tournament at Greatwood Golf Club.  Taylor Burchard shot 115, 101,  Morgan Mitchell shot 105, 98  Michelle Harmann, shot 98, 90  Jourdan Holder shot 92, 95 and Janell Lysack shot 84, 76.  Janell shot the lowest round (76) ever for a Lady Spartan Golfer.  She took 2nd place overall in the tournament.  They are in action again on February 1-2 at Sienna Plantation Golf Club.
Varsity Boys - October 15th, 2007 - Fort Bend County Country Club
The Seven Lakes Varsity Boys took 1st Place at the LCISD Varsity tournament at the Fort Bend County Country Club Monday October 15th. The team shot 305 behind the scoring of Logan Harper who shot 75 (2nd Overall), Hank Miner 76 (lost in playoff for 3rd Overall), Juan Espiga 77, Ryan Hadash 77, and Cale Ferguson 84. This was the Spartans second top finish of the year.		 Varsity Girls - October 12th -13th, 2007 - April Sound Golf Club
The Lady Spartan Golf team competed in the Montgomery Lady Bear Invitational October 12th and 13th. Janell Lysack led the way for the Spartans shooting 85, 87 taking 8th overall. Congratulation also goes out to Morgan Mitchell, Taylor Burchard who both competed in their first varsity tournament. Other team members were Michelle Hartmann, and Alicia Garza. The ladies did an outstanding job and competed like champions.
JV Boys - September 27, 2007 Legendary Oaks Golf ClubThe Seven Lakes JV boys' golf team competed in the Viking JV Boys tournament at Legendary Oaks Golf Club in Hempstead. 

The team scored 351 overall.  Juan Espiga shot 69, Kevin Striedel shot 85, Kory Johnson shot 98, and Sammy Merrill shot 99.
Varsity Boys - September 21-22, 2007 River Ridge
The Seven Lakes Varsity boys' golf team took 1st and 3rd place in the Mustang Fall Invitational at River Ridge Golf Club in Sealy. 

Team 1 shot 312, 307 (school record), for a two day total of 619 (school record).  Brian Swanson shot 77, 80, Hank Miner shot 78, 79, Zach Smalls shot 80, 77, Albert Miner shot 80, 74, and Ryan Hadash shot 77, 77. 

Team 2 shot 313, 322 for a two day total of 635.  Tyler Thompson shot 79, 68 (individual school record), Cale Ferguson shot 83, 86, Logan Harper shot 75, 81, Payne Davenport shot 77, 91, and Charlie Peters shot 82, 87.

This was a great way to start off the year.  The Spartans got their first ever Varsity win, and their first ever subpar round.
